World Heart Day: Fortis Mohali Organises Unique Bhangra Session At Sukhna Lake: To sensitise the masses on heart diseases and ways to prevent the same, Fortis Hospital Mohali organised a unique Bhangra session -- “Don’t Miss The Beat – Let’s Bhangra with Fortis for a Stronger Heartbeat!” -- at the Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh on 27th September. The event was part of the World Heart Day activities and aligned with the global theme of World Heart Day – “Don’t Miss A Beat.”

Several morning walkers, joggers and other fitness enthusiasts participated in the event and could be seen shaking a leg, thereby blending culture, fitness, and preventive heart care. The campaign combined fitness, culture, and health awareness through several.

Bhangra sessions held across Tricity, promoting active living and preventive care. More than 100 people actively joined the session. SBI was the title event partner for the event. The finale at Sukhna lake was inaugurated by Dr RK Jaswal, Director & HOD Cardiology and Director Cath lab; Dr Karun Behal, Senior Consultant – Cardiology; Dr Ankur Ahuja, Senior Consultant - Cardiology; Dr Ambuj Choudhary, Additional Director - Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery;  Dr Alok Suryavanshi, Senior Consultant - Cardio Thoracic Vascular Surgery; Dr Sudanshu Budhakoty, Consultant, Cardiology, in the presence of senior SBI General Managers, including Neeraj Bharti (GM NW-II), Vimal Kishore (GM NW-III) & Manmeet S. Chhabra (GM NW-I).
