Vladimir Putin Interview With Tucker Carlson on Russia Ukraine War Latest Update: Russian President Vladimir Putin said it's impossible to beat Russia in Ukraine, but he assured he doesn't want to extend the conflict to nearby countries like Poland and Latvia. 

During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Putin emphasized that he has no plans to claim territory in Europe. He mentioned that Russian troops would only be sent into neighboring nations if Russia faced an attack first.

Putin firmly stated in an online interview that getting involved in a global war is absolutely not an option, as it goes against common sense and would bring humanity to the brink of devastation. 

He emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and revealed that Russia is in contact with the United States. Putin proposed that for a ceasefire, the U.S. should stop supplying weapons to Ukraine, stating that this would lead to a swift end to the conflict.

During the two-hour interview, Putin discussed the history of Eastern Europe and Russia, expressing a willingness to negotiate peace with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, he mentioned that Moscow has specific goals in Ukraine, including what he referred to as "de-Nazification."

In response to a question about releasing a imprisoned Wall Street Journal reporter as a gesture of decency, Putin indicated that a deal is possible, highlighting that Russia has made many gestures of goodwill. However, he expressed frustration that these gestures have not been reciprocated, emphasizing the potential for such actions if reciprocal steps are taken by their partners.
