Prez nominee to visit Srinagar tomorrow

Srinagar: The NDA’s candidate for the post of President, Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Srinagar on Wednesday to seek support of the electoral college comprising legislators and parliamentarians of the ruling PDP-BJP coalition.

Srinagar: The NDA’s candidate for the post of President, Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Srinagar on Wednesday to seek support of the electoral college comprising legislators and parliamentarians of the ruling PDP-BJP coalition.

Sources in the ruling parties confirmed that a joint meeting of the legislators had been scheduled at 11 am here on Wednesday morning. During his day-long visit, Kovind would be accompanied by Union ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Jitendra Singh, and BJP general secretary Ram Madhav. It was not yet clear whether Kovind would meet legislators of the opposition parties.
