Rajouri: After heavy mortar shelling by the Pakistan army in October, November, April, May, June and July, many VVIPs, including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Health Minister and the Divisional Commissioner, visited families of those killed and met affected people and migrants at Nowshera.

Among issues raised by the district administration for the welfare of affected people/migrants, a demand for ambulances at health centres situated near the LoC was also raised by the Health Department.

However, even after over four months, no ambulance has been provided to these health centres by the state government as well as by the Directorate of Health Services.

“A few ambulances were managed by the district administration from Assistant District Medical Officer (ADMO) and were deputed at Laroka and Sarya-Makri during heavy shelling to shift the injured,” said a health officer.
