Shimla: The government last night transferred three members of the Special Investigating Team (SIT), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Southern Range, ZH Zaidi, Additional SP Bhajan Dev Negi and Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, DW Negi.

Shimla: The government last night transferred three members of the Special Investigating Team (SIT), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Southern Range, ZH Zaidi, Additional SP Bhajan Dev Negi and Superintendent of Police (SP), Shimla, DW Negi.

Zaidi has been posted as the IGP, Welfare and Administration at the Police Headquarters. IGP, Central Range, Mandi, Ajay Yadav, has been given the additional charge of the Southern Range.

DW Negi has been posted as the SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, while SP, Sirmaur, Soumya Sambasivan, will be the new SP of Shimla while SP, Kinnaur, Rohit Malpani, will replace Soumya as the SP, Sirmaur.

Assistant IGP, Shimla, Gurdev Sharma, will go as the SP, Kinnaur, while Additional SP, Shimla, Bhajan Dev Negi, would report at the Police Headquarters for further posting. Three persons, including the SHO Kotkhai police station, were placed under suspension.

Meanwhile, the remaining four accused in the case, who were locked up at Kotkhai when the custodial death took place, would be presented before a Magistrate in Theog today.
