Rs155 cr for four bus stands in state: Bali

Kangra: Transport Minister GS Bali today flagged off AC bus service from the Kangra bus stand for the Dharamsala-Shimla route via Hamirpur and Ghagas.

Kangra: Transport Minister GS Bali today flagged off AC bus service from the Kangra bus stand for the Dharamsala-Shimla route via Hamirpur and Ghagas.

Bali on this occasion said Rs 155 crore would be spent on the construction of four bus stands in the state. He said ultra modern bus stands were being constructed at the cost of Rs 75 crore in Manali, Rs 30 crore in Kullu, Rs 35 crore in Una and Rs 15 crore in Dharamsala.Bali said these bus stands would be constructed under the BOT programme. He said the work on these bus stands would start soon.

He said the construction work was going on a war-footing for the bus stands at Rohru, Nirmand, Chirgoan, Swarghat, Baroh and Kotli Mandi. He said the new bus stand building at Nagrota Bagwan was constructed at the cost of Rs 6 crore recently. Bali said the state government was committed for providing a better, comfortable and safe transport facility to the people of the state. He said for this purpose a fleet of HRTC buses had been strengthened.
