Una: Two masked men today allegedly kidnapped a 37-day-old infant from the possession of the mother from her residence on the Basoli road in Rakkar Colony, about six km from Una. The police have launched a hunt for the accused and the child.

It is reported that in the afternoon, the infant’s mother Rajinder Kaur was playing with the child in the courtyard when two masked men pushed her aside, snatched the child from her and fled.
Rajinder Kaur raised the alarm but by the time the neighbours could react and reach there, the accused had escaped. The police, assisted by the neighbourhood, were on the lookout for the child and the accused. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under Sections 363, 366 and 34 IPC and have launched a manhunt for the accused.
