ABVP demands Virbhadra’s resignation

The ABVP district president, Gaurav Attri, said the law and order situation in the state had gone from bad to worse and girls and women were scared of moving out alone.

Intensifying the campaign, the ABVP would gherao the principals of colleges in support of their demands on July 31. They would hold a state-wide tree plantation programme on August 5, signature campaign from August 5 to 10, submit a memorandum to the VC of Central University on August 11, hold state-wide protests and submit a memorandum to the Governor on August 17, said ABVP state secretary Hema Thakur.

In support of their demands, the ABVP would sit on a symbolic hunger strike on August 23 and 24 and there would be education bandh in CU on August 31, she added.
