Representatives of the Panchgrami khap panchayat comprising Pabra, Kandool, Khairi, Kinala and Faridpur villages today held a meeting in Pabra village to take stock of the situation. Munshi Ram presided over the meeting.
Rajesh Kundu, a representative of the khap panchayat, said they reviewed the incident and demanded speedy justice to the woman. “We condemn the incident in strongest words. The accused must be given stringent punishment,” said Rajesh. He added that they have full faith in the law enforcement agency and the judiciary.
Another meeting of the Panchgrami Yuva Sangathan (PYS) organised on the sidelines of the khap meeting also condemned Vikas Barala for the stalking incident.
