After the approval of the Director, it will go to Sports Minister Anil Vij for the final approval. The Public Works Department (PWD) has approved the estimate.

The purpose behind this project is to build confidence among budding players for national and international events. The stadium has a mud track, which is not comfortable for athletes during inclement weather.
