Yamunanagar: A man got a criminal case registered against his 35-year-old son for killing their young domestic female calf (heifer) at Bhudmajra village under the Khizrabad police station in this district.

In his complaint to the police, Amar Singh stated that he was taking his domestic cow to a hand pump on Saturday when it ran away. He said his son Gurdev chased the cow for long but in vain. The futile chase angered his son and he started mercilessly beating the cow’s about one-year-old calf tied with a rope in the cattle yard. He added that the calf died after sometime.
