Government of Nagaland, has been honored with another National Award


Agriculture News: The Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, has been honored with another National Award for 'Promotion of Best Horticulture Farming and Products' at the recently concluded International Agriculture and Horti Expo, according to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

The Expo, held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from July 20 to 22, 2024, was a yearly event organized by the NNS Media Group. It showcased the best advancements in agriculture and horticulture from across the country.

The department was represented by three officials and a representative from Entrepreneurs Associates, underscoring their collaborative spirit and commitment to horticultural excellence. They showcased products from homegrown brands, including perilla seeds, Dey Naga King Chilli, sumac powder, and candied mango and plum.

The Department also highlighted a range of farm-fresh produce, including chayote, yam, pumpkin, bird’s eye chili, large cardamom, dragon fruit, pineapple, plum, pomelo, and passion fruit, intending to promote organic products from local farmers. Additionally, they showcased three GI-tagged crops, including the Naga King Chilli, at the expo.
