Mumbai: Designer Anita Dongre, who is excited about her autumn winter campaign #IamAND, says today's Indian woman can do anything she sets her mind to. The ace designer's campaign celebrates the multifaceted personality of the modern Indian lady and aims at putting the spotlight on women who have successfully straddled multiple roles in their life.
Mumbai: Designer Anita Dongre, who is excited about her autumn winter campaign #IamAND, says today's Indian woman can do anything she sets her mind to. The ace designer's campaign celebrates the multifaceted personality of the modern Indian lady and aims at putting the spotlight on women who have successfully straddled multiple roles in their life.
Talking about it, Dongre told PTI, "We know that women express themselves through what they wear – at work, party and home. The inspiration for the collection is the multifaceted extraordinary woman who loves to express herself through what she wears. I believe that today's Indian woman is on the brink of a revolution." Dongre chose Kareena Kapoor Khan as her muse for the AND Autumn Winter campaign as she says the actor "best" represents the multi-tasking modern Indian woman of today.
According to the designer, this season the collection offers everything - from stylish office wear to contemporary outfits along with accessories. "It (collection) is versatile, sophisticated and minimalistic and offers an interesting colour palette of burnt orange, aqua, fuchsia and emerald greens. For the party season, metallic materials emerge in evening-wear categories in classic gold, silver and copper."
On upcoming trends in autumn this season, the designer says, "What is in at the moment are few things like subtle ruffles and fold, split sleeves, drop sleeves, soft midi dresses, layered styling and asymmetric midi." With this, AND also launches a series of inspirational stories. The video is the first of the #IamAND series which aims to feature real women with inspirational stories on a monthly basis. PTI
