High Rated- Gabru, yes you guessed it right- Guru Randhawa after getting huge success in Pollywood is shot to instant fame in Bollywood, when his song Suit Suit was featured in the 2017 film, Hindi Medium. However, he says that his true calling lies in composing independent music. “I have just sung for a film starring actor Vidya Balan, and have a couple of more projects in the pipeline. But with independent music, I can do what I feel satisfied with, and not feel the pressure of what others expect me to deliver.”

Now that he has gained prominence in the Hindi film industry, he feels pressure to deliver another big hit and moreover pressure is for those people who are competing in a race. Main kisi race mein nahi hoon. I compose only for myself and those fans who have supported me till now,” adds Randhawa, who is also set to turn actor with an upcoming Punjabi film.

Guru is all set to absolutely rocks in the much awaited song “Lagdi Hai Thaai” from Kangana Ranaut's latest film 'Simran' which is being directed by Hansal Mehta. The song is a lively and playful wedding number. It is composed by Sachin-Jigar and vocals are provided by Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa and Jonita Gandhi. The song is instantly catchy and we expect it will become the definitive wedding song of the year and will be played in all the marriages this season.
