Chennai: Top actor Rajinikanth today
condoled the demise of Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra
Saraswathi.
"Saraswathi's soul had joined the divine abode. My
condolences to his devotees," he said in a tweet.
Makkal Neethi Mayyam, founded by actor Kamal Haasan, also
condoled the passing away of the seer.
"We offer our condolences on the demise of Sri Jayendra
Saraswathi, head of Sankara Mutt, Kancheepuram, on behalf of
Makkal Neethi Mayyam. May his soul rest in peace," a party
statement said.
