Los Angeles: Nintendo has confirmed that it is working on an animated Super Mario movie with Illumination, the animation studio behind movies like "Despicable Me" and "Minions".

"Nintendo and Illumination are partnering on a movie starring Mario, co-produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri!" Nintendo of America posted on Twitter. The Wall Street Journal had reported about the deal back in November. No release date has been announced yet.
