
Los Angeles: Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence is working on a docuseries about the #MeToo movement.
According
to the Hollywood Reporter, the activist-actress and anchor Catt Sadler
are working on a series project inspired by #MeToo, Time's Up movements
and gender wage gap conversations in Hollywood with documentary
filmmaker Stephanie Soechtig.
Soechtig is a documentary director
known for exploring America's gun violence epidemic and its problem with
obesity with films such as "Under the Gun" and "Fed Up".
Talking
about the docuseries at a 20th Century Fox x The Wing? event? in New
York City, Lawrence said, "I wasn't supposed to announce that but I am."
The actor has been an advocate for equal pay for women and
had previously penned an essay for Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner's Lenny
in 2015, addressing her own battles with making equal money to her male
co-stars.
