Chandigarh: Where the Punjabi film 'Udta Punjab' has talked of Punjab in the name of drug addiction, a popular social activist has been active in Punjab known as "Daudta Punjab".

Today on the shores of Sukhna Lake, Glow Marathon has been started with the motive of healthy, drug-free life and to protect the women. This is the third edition of Glow Run whose main event will be held on Oct 14. To aware people regarding this, Chandigarh Administration especially with the help of Tourism Department has invite people regarding this matter.

The owner of "Daudta Punjab" and the famous cricketer Gulzar Chahal while talking with spokesman T.V said that he had already got great experience in Patiala Marathon before this Glow Marathon.He said that his main motive is to make youngsters of Punjab drug-free so that's why he is doing such Marathon so that it may be appropriate and useful for the youngsters.

In the Patiala Marathon thousands of youngsters had come from nearby villages and now in Chandigarh around dozens of youngsters had arrived from Talwandi Sabo to take part in this marathon, said Chahal. Adding on, he said that games is the only way to make today's generation away from drugs and other bad habits.

Last year at night in this 5 KM of Marathon around two thousands volunteers had run. Rozana Spokesman in this event is playing a main role of supportive media. Gulzar Chahal also said that he will take these type of Marathon to the various villages of Punjab.
