The SC turned down the plea of Prajita Developers for enforcement of the agreement but appointed a former judge as an arbitrator. Kumar had entered into an agreement with the firm in 2006.

The construction was to be completed in two years but the firm failed to do so and the actor approached the court to get his property back. The actor had also received around Rs. 8.5 crore from the company in interest.
