Mumbai: Christopher Nolan upcoming war drama, "Dunkirk", is all set to release in India on July 21. Nolan's much anticipated thriller, which has been shot in France, Holland, the UK and Los Angeles, will be distributed by Warner Bros Pictures in the country. The film is based on the early stages of World War II, where thousands of British and Allied troops were trapped on the beach of Dunkirk with their backs to the sea surrounded by the enemy. The three time Oscar-winning director has written the story of "Dunkirk" with the intention to tell it from three perspectives of air, land and sea. Speaking about this unique style of working of Nolan, actor Fionn Whitehead, who plays the protagonist Tommy in the movie, said in a statement, "I think the thing that makes Chris so unique is that he has his own vision for this piece of art he's creating and he's completely in charge, which is an amazing thing for an actor. It gives you a bit more breathing room because you're not trying to tend to anyone else's needs." The ensemble cast also includes Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D'Arcy and Barry Keoghan. PTI
