‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ the knowledge based game show been hosted by Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is back with the ninth season along with some new innovative features. The winner of the show will now get the winning prize directly into their bank accounts. Moreover, the show is back with renovated lifelines as well.  

Video-A-Friend

The ninth season is full of surprises and on the top of the list is ‘Video-A-Friend’. Contestants will make a video call to their friends instead of a normal phone call. It would also be a chance for the friend sof the contestants to see the Megastar Amitabh Bachchan face to face.

Lifeline Jodidaar

KBC 9 is going to start on Sony Entertainment Television from August 28. A new life-line ‘Jodidaar’ has been introduced, where the partner can bring his/her friend with him on the hot seat. This would be a chance for his/her friend to catch a footage with AB.

Jackpot Question

The knowledge based game has also introduced a jackpot question for Rs 7 crore —a deal for all or nothing, where all the remaining lifelines of the contestants will be rendered worthless. The cheques will be replaced with digital transferred directly into the winner’s account.

Pacier and Faster

The ninth season is also said to be a pacier version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, where more questions will be asked in an hour. It would be faster in terms of time given to the contestant to answer. The season will be for a short time period, airing only for six weeks (30 episodes).

Special Episodes

Some special episodes will see Big B inviting real-life heroes, who will not only be given an opportunity to play the game, but also be provided a platform to reach out to the country in support of their cause.

This season the show has received a record breaking registration of around 19.8 million over seven days. KBC is going to replace Beyhadh at the slot of 9 PM, Monday-Friday from mid-September.
