Aishwarya-Salman to have a box office clash on Eid 2018

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's "Fanney Khan" is ready for a head to head with Salman Khan's "Race 3" next year on Eid. "Fanney Khan" starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya and Rajkummar Rao is all set to hit the theatres in India on June 15, 2018.

"We are happy to announce that 'Fanney Khan' is coming to wish audiences 'Eid Mubarak' on June 15, next year. "The film is a beautiful slice of life story that comes straight from the heart and will have audiences thoroughly entertained," producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment, said in a statement.  

Directed by Atul Manjrekar, the film is the official Indian remake of the Dutch film "Everybody's Famous". Salman, who has been dominating the Eid release slot for six years now, will once again release his movie on the festival.

"Race 3" is the third film in the action franchise. The previous two instalments had Saif Ali Khan as the main lead but now Salman has replaced him. Remo D'Souza has taken over the project from director duo Abbas-Mustan.  

Besides Salman "Race 3" also stars Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Freddy Daruwala and Saqib Saleem. PTI
