CM Bhagwant Mann on the Demise of Jaswinder Bhalla Latest News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed grief over the sudden demise of the popular Punjabi Comedian, Jaswinder Bhalla, who passed away in the early hours on Friday at Fortis hospital in Mohali.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said ‘Chacha Chatra will always remain in our hearts.’
CM Bhagwant Mann in a post on X wrote, “The sudden departure of Jaswinder Bhalla ji from this world is very sad.. My heart is saddened by the closure of the Chhankatas.. May Waheguru grant us a place at his feet... Uncle Chatra will always remain in our hearts.”
His demise has left the Punjabi film fraternity, fans, and family in shock and grief.
The Cause of Jaswinder Bhalla's Death:
Jaswinder Bhalla had suffered a brain stroke on Wednesday night, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Mohali. His health had deteriorated since last night and he passed away at around 4 am today.
The funeral will be performed tomorrow (August 23) at 1 pm in Mohali, the family said.
Bhalla's daughter reportedly left for Europe ten days ago. She is now returning and will reach Mohali by this evening.
Jaswinder Bhalla was born on 4 May 1960 in Doraha. He started his career as a comedian with "Chhankata 88" in 1988. After this, he became an actor in the film "Dulla Bhatti".
Jaswinder Bhalla was a professor at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). He also became the brand ambassador of PAU.
