Hema Malini called her loving husband, Dharmendra, a “unique icon unequalled among all the legends.”
Actress Hema Malini has, for the first time, shared some memories of her husband, veteran actor Dharmendra Deol, after his demise, calling the loss “indescribable and the vacuum created” - something she said would last for the rest of her life.
“He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me!,” Hema Malini wrote in a post on X.
“And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them,” she added.

Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89. His last rites were attended by family members and celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salim Khan, and Salman Khan.
