Guru Randhawa Supports Compulsory Punjabi Education in Schools of Punjab latest news: Famous Punjabi singer and actor Guru Randhawa has demanded compulsory study of the Punjabi language in the syllabus of every school in Punjab, regardless of their education board. In a social media post, the "High-Rated Gabru" crooner underlined the importance of Punjabi as a mark of pride, identity, and cultural heritage for the Punjabis.
Randhawa's emotional appeal coincides with an increasing alarm about the erosion of regional language influence in the context of a globally dominant English. He had described Punjabi as "our mother," pointing to its value in maintaining the rich cultural heritage of the state.

Its our Pride and mother â¤ï¸Â
We respect all languages but Punjabi language is our culture and roots.
My whole existence is because of my Language and the songs in Punjabi ðŸ™Â
Forever Proud…
"PUNJABI Language is compulsory for all students who study in PUNJAB irrespective of the board. It's our Pride and mother. We have respect for all languages but Punjabi language is our culture and roots," Randhawa tweeted.
The musician, who became internationally renowned through his hit Punjabi tracks, went on to further emphasize the significant influence that the language has had on his own career and life. "My entire life is due to my Language and the Punjabi songs. Proud Villager for all times, Proud Punjabi, Proud Indian," he wrote.
Randhawa's call to action has also initiated a fresh debate surrounding the conservation of local languages, especially Punjabi, and keeping it alive in the contemporary world. His appeal strikes a chord with many who feel that Punjab's youth must stay rooted in their heritage through the language.
As the debate on language preservation picks up steam, Randhawa's campaign is a strong reminder of the importance that language holds in defining identity and creating a sense of belonging. His message is simple: Punjabi language is not merely a tool for communication, but a key to the past, present, and future of Punjab.
