Death Threat Sent to Mumbai Authorities Mentions Salman Khan; Bomb Plot Investigated

Khan has endured a series of such threats over the years, often allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Salman Khan is back in the spotlight for a troubling reason. A chilling threat, claiming plans to kill the actor and blow up his car, was recently delivered to Mumbai’s Transport Department via WhatsApp. The message has prompted the registration of a case at Worli Police Station, with law enforcement working to trace the sender.

Khan has endured a series of such threats over the years, often allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang is said to hold a grudge over the actor's involvement in the blackbuck poaching case, a matter of religious concern for their community.

In 2024, he was threatened again, with demands for a public apology or a Rs 5 crore payout. Later that year, an anonymous individual demanded Rs 2 crore, adding to a growing list of incidents, including break-in attempts at his farmhouse and threats from gangsters like Goldy Brar.

Khan, in a recent press interaction, said he leaves his safety in the hands of a higher power. “I go from home to shoot and back. That’s my life now,” he said, acknowledging the limitations these threats have placed on his day-to-day freedom.
