There is a yellow alert for rain in Himachal for the next two days as well.

IMD has again issued an alert in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

On the other hand, a yellow alert has been issued in Gurdaspur, Amritsar, and Tarn Taran.

Punjab has become the driest state in the country as the least rain occurred here in this monsoon season.

Punjab has received 40 percent less rain in this entire season so far.

The IMD also stated that there was a strong possibility of rain on August 7.

Pathankot received 157.2 MM, Amritsar 90.2 MM, Patiala 31.6 MM, and Gurdaspur 40.7 MM rain in the last 24 hours.

IMD issued yellow alert in 9 districts of Punjab for July 18.

Punjab witnessed heavy rainfall in the state on July 16 as well.
