Punjab Weather Update Latest News Today: Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh have seen less rain this monsoon season, as compared to the last year. Due to heavy rains in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Haryana in the past few days, there were a lot of waterlogging and traffic snags. 

In the meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has again issued an alert in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the coming days. According to the IMD, heavy rain may occur in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Ropar on August 14, for which a yellow alert has been issued.

Along with this, the possibility of light to moderate rain has been reported in the rest of the districts. The IMD reported that the state was still deficient in rainfall by 33 percent, which is likely to be completed in the coming days. Due to the rain on Sunday, the temperature of the state also dropped significantly.

This decline was also seen in the temperature of various districts, as per the data released by the Meteorological Center on Tuesday. According to the report, the temperature of Chandigarh was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius, Amritsar recorded 33.6, Ludhiana 32.8, Patiala 33.4, Pathankot 32.6, Faridkot 32.5, Gurdaspur 34.5, Fatehgarh Sahib 32.7 and Mohali recorded 34.6 degrees Celsius.

According to the information, the meteorological department has announced the possibility of rain in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala, SAS Nagar and Malerkotla.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Haryana is likely to receive rain till August 19.
