Kerala: Wildlife SOS has raised its voice against the illegal practice of placing explosives in fruits. These explosives explode in the mouths of animals, killing them. Wildlife SOS demands that such crimes be banned.

In Kerala's Malappuram district, the organization has condemned the killing of a pregnant elephant. In Malappuram district of Kerala, some people reportedly fed a pregnant elephant a pineapple filled with crackers which results in killing when a firecracker exploded in elephant’s mouth.

PhotoPhotoThe organization says it is "disappointing" that a pregnant elephant died in such a manner. "We have to decide whether the perpetrators of this incident should be punished," he said. A case will be registered against the accused. The matter is being investigated by the Kerala State Forest Department.

Wildlife SOS has claimed that a reward of Rs one lakh will be given for the arrest of the killers involved in the murder. The award will be given by Wildlife SOS to anyone who helps the forest department in this matter.
