Chandigarh boy missing on Shrikhand trek route
Kullu: A trekker from Chandigarh has gone missing on the way back from Shrikhand in Anni subdivision of the district. Four boys had reportedly gone for trekking on July 1. They informed the police upon reaching Thachdu yesterday that their friend and one of the trekkers had gone missing. The official Shrikhand Yatra is scheduled to commence on July 15, however, some enthusiasts undertake the difficult trek on their own.
SFJ legal adviser, 4 others booked on sedition
Chandigarh: The Punjab police on Thursday filed a case against three USA-based persons, including the Legal Advisor of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), along with two persons based in India, on charges of sedition, promoting enmity and criminal conspiracy, after Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh ordered a crackdown on the outfit amid complaints by the local people of deliberate attempts to vitiate the state’s atmosphere.
