New Delhi: The Finance Ministry on Friday in its mid-year economic survey said that achieving upper end of 6.75 percent to 7.5 percent real GDP growth predicted in February is difficult. For the first time, the government presented a second or a mid-year economic survey. Authored by Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian, also said inflation was expected to remain below the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 4 percent target through to the end of the fiscal year and described scope for monetary easing as “considerable”.
