Chandigarh: Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association Celebrated a Teej Festival in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lady Judges, other Judges, Advocate Generals Punjab and Haryana along with Lady Advocates and Members of the Bar Association. More than 500 Advocates attended this function. Asha Kumari Jaswal, Mayor, U.T. Chandigarh was also attended the function.

Punjab govt proposes SPG to combat terror, infiltration, hijacking incidents
Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday approved, in principle, the proposal of the state police to set up an elite specially trained Special Protection Group (SPG), with a clear mandate to neutralise armed aggressors, and to combat terrorism, infiltration, hijacking, hostage-taking and other sensitive threat situations.

Washington: A giant inflatable chicken with a Donald Trump hair style has been placed near the White House by an Indian-origin activist to protest the president's stand on releasing his tax returns, dealing with North Korea and engaging with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Taran Singh Brar, a documentary filmmaker, placed the "Chicken Don" in the lawn, just south of the White House and near the Washington Monument with due permission from the National Park Service and the Secret Service.
