New Delhi: The accused in 1984 riots cases want to ensure that the victims’ families do not get justice, the Delhi high court observed on Tuesday. A bench of acting chief justice Gita Mittal and Justice Anu Malhotra made the remarks after it was informed that the accused in five 1984 anti-Sikh riots cases had moved the Supreme Court against its order.

Three militants killed in encounter in Kashmir's Budgam
Three militants were today killed in an overnight encounter with security forces in central Kashmir's Budgam district, police said. "Three militants were killed this morning in the encounter," a police official said. Main accused’s police remand extended
Faridabad: Junaid lynching main accused Naresh was remanded in five-day police custody today. He was arrested on July 8 from Dhule district in Maharashtra. During the two-day remand, the police had recovered the knife used to stab Junaid, said GRP officials.
