Seven cops thrashed by Army personnel in Kashmir, case filed
Srinagar: Seven policemen were injured in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district today when they were allegedly thrashed by Army personnel at a checkpost, police said. Police have filed a case against the Army personnel, an official said, adding that records kept at a police station were also damaged.
66-kg narcotics seized from LoC truck
Srinagar: The J&K Police today seized 66.5 kg of narcotic drugs in north Kashmir from a truck arriving from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as part of the cross-LoC trade between India and Pakistan.

Proceedings against MP Saini quashed
Chandigarh: Just about a year after Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the summoning orders issued by a local court in an alleged case of promoting enmity among different groups, Justice Hari Pal Verma today allowed his plea. Justice Verma quashed the summoning orders and all consequential proceedings. The High Court had in August last had stayed the proceedings.
