AAP, BJP clash in Delhi Assembly over Chandigarh stalking case
New Delhi: The Delhi Assembly had a noisy start to the monsoon session today with the ruling AAP targeting the BJP over the Chandigarh stalking case while the opposition BJP raised the issue of death of sanitation workers in the national capital. As the House met, Speaker Ram Niwas Goel mentioned the Chandigarh stalking case in which the Haryana BJP president's son is allegedly involved.

Cross-LoC trade resumes after two weeks
Srinagar, Aug 8 (PTI) The cross-LoC trade on Srinagar- Muzaffarabad road resumed today, more than two weeks after it was suspended following recovery of heroin and brown sugar from a truck coming from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Ahead of the resumption, authorities sealed the Customs Department office at Salamabad Trade Facilitation Centre at Uri on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad route after the staff posted there "absconded" from duty, officials said.

As voting began for three RS seats, Patel expressed confidence that he will win.
