Gorakhpur hospital tragedy: Yogi Adityanath orders probe, strict action
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh on Saturday assured that quick action would be taken against those involved in the alleged disruption in the supply of liquid oxygen at Gorakhpur’s Baba Raghav Das Medical College hospital, following which over 30 infants lost their lives.

Rain damage in Kangra, Chamba worth Rs60 cr
Dharamshala: Heavy rains have led to damages worth Rs 60 crores in Kangra PWD circle that includes Kangra and Chamba district. Chief Engineer PWD, SK Ganju said the maximum damage had been caused to roads in various parts of Chamba and Kangra districts. A bridge has been damaged in Tuhati, a tribal area of Chamba district.
Petrol pumps shut down in Hisar
Hisar: All 160 fuel stations in the district observed a strike today to protest the rising number of incidents of crime at petrol pumps. The All Haryana Petroleum Dealers Association (AHPDA) had given the call for the strike, demanding the arrest of accused in several incidents of loot at petrol pumps. They decided to protest against police functioning after robbers took away Rs 2.65 lakh from the petrol pump in Chaudhariwas village on Wednesday.

Murder accused shot dead in Rohtak
Rohtak: Ankit, a resident of Rithal village in the district, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on the Ladhot road on the outskirts of the town today. Ankit was an accused in the murder of a national-level kabaddi player. He along with a friend was going to court for hearing in the murder case when he was attacked.

Gorakhpur: At least 30 children died since Thursday in Gorakhpur’s Baba Raghav Das Medical College amid allegations that a private contractor stopped supplying oxygen cylinders as the government-run hospital hasn’t paid dues of about Rs 70 lakh.
