Tough time for commuters on Manali road
Mandi: Commuters were left stranded for hours on the Manali-Pathankot highway this morning when the road was blocked due to a flash flood in the nearby rivulet. However, later it was opened.
7 killed in Shimla road accident
Shimla: Seven persons, including four women, were killed while five others sustained serious injuries when Balero (HR 71 A 3993) they were travelling in rolled 200 m deep into a gorge between Antrawlee and Guma, near Nerwa in Shimla district, 140 km from here, late last night.
SYL issue: INLD to stop all vehicles from Punjab on July 10

SC refuses interim order agst Centre's notification on Aadhaar
The Supreme Court today refused to pass any interim order against the Centre's notification making Aadhaar mandatory for availing benefits of various social welfare schemes. A vacation bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar and Navin Sinha said that no interim order can be passed at this stage on the "mere apprehension" of petitioners that government may deprive people from availing benefits of various social welfare schemes due to lack of Aadhaar

Srinagar: Clashes erupted in at least five districts of the Kashmir valley immediately after the Eid prayers today. In Srinagar, youths clashed with the police and CRPF personnel outside the idgah where 15,000 to 20,000 persons had assembled for prayers. Hundreds of youths, waving black flags, tried to hold a march but were intercepted by the police.
