DRDO fair for high-altitude farmers kicks off in Leh
Leh: To disseminate technical know-how of various agro-animal technologies developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) among the local farmers residing in the high-altitude cold desert trans-Himalayan region, a “Ladakhi Kisan Jawan Vigyan Mela” is being organised by the Defence Institute of High-Altitude Research (DIHAR) in Leh.
Kashmir’s para cricket captain to play for India
Srinagar: Captain of the Jammu and Kashmir para cricket team Amir Hussain Lone has been picked to represent India at the international level, making him the second cricket player from Kashmir to bag the honour. 23 dead as two buses swept away by landslide in Mandi; more casualties feared
Dharamshala: At least 23 persons travelling in two buses were feared dead after the buses were swept away by a massive landslide near Jogindernagar in Mandi district last night. But the tragedy could be far greater, as more vehicles and people were believed to have been at the spot when an enitre hillside collapsed.
Road, education, water priority: Virbhadra

Rs 10,000 reward for info on rape accused
Faridabad: The local police have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information or clues about six persons involved in the gang rape of a 19-year-old mentally challenged girl on July 7. This is the second time that a cash prize has been announced for the arrest of the rape accused in the district.
