Flash flood hits Manali village
Manali: Torrential rain last night resulted in flash flood at Gazan village, about 12 km from here, and damaged roads, houses and vehicles. The floods along with huge boulders and debris damaged one house while another one was partially damaged. It also damaged three tractors, a car and a motorcycle.

Rewari: The body of an international hockey player, Jyoti Gupta (21) of Sonepat, was found under mysterious circumstances near the Jhajjar railway overbridge on the Rewari-Rohtak railway line here last night.
2,280 kids reunited with parents
Chandigarh: The Haryana Police have achieved success in reuniting 2,280 missing children with their parents under ‘Operation Muskan-III’ from July 1 to 31. During the drive, 2,634 missing children were traced.
Now, braid cutting incidents reported in Karnal, Panipat
Karnal: The first case of braid cutting was reported in Newal village of the district today. Harbhajan Kaur, a class IX student, found her braid chopped off when she woke up in the morning. Family members filed a complaint with the police. The police will take help from the CCTV cameras installed in the village.

JK police to ask Pak High Commission to take militant's body
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police will approach the Pakistan High Commission via the Union home ministry to take the body of Abu Dujana, the Lashkar-e-Taiba commander gunned down in south Kashmir, a senior police official said today. It will be the first time that the Pakistan High Commission is asked to claim the body of a militant killed in Kashmir Valley.
Aadhar card to help the authorities to trace missing people
Chandigarh: The Adhar card will help the authorities to trace the missing people in future. With the help of the Unique Identification the police would also track the missing people and criminals. A 14 year old boy Lovepreet Singh ran away from home two years ago but he is back with his family now just because of his Adhar card.
