Srinagar: Police have unearthed a module of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit by arresting three persons, who were luring youth into militancy, in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Srinagar: Police today recovered a bullet- riddled body of a vendor in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Ishtiyaq Ahmad Wagay was shot dead by suspected militants last night, an official said.
RS polls: Voting underway in Gujarat
Gandhinagar: Voting is underway in Gujarat today for the Rajya Sabha elections in which Ahmed Patel, the influential political secretary to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, and BJP's Amit Shah, Smriti Irani and Balwantsinh Rajput are in fray. As voting began for three RS seats, Patel expressed confidence that he will win. High-density orchards to be developed in state
Shimla: About 18,200 hectare of new high density orchards will be developed on private land across the state under the World Bank-funded Rs 1,134 crore horticulture development project.

Landslide damages houses in Kangra
Kangra: Residents of Sard Bammi village near Rakkar in Dehra subdivision of the district abandoned their houses after debris of a landslide entered 18 houses and washed away seven cattle head. Tilak Raj Sharma, a resident, said they feared returning to the village after the incident.
