Will act against social media firms on Blue Whale game: Prasad
New Delhi: The government will take action against internet-based social media platforms if they fail to remove links to the deadly Blue Whale Challenge game which has led children to suicide in the country, Law and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said today. "People are committing suicide due to Bluewhale game. We received many complaints including from the concerned departments," Prasad said.

6 held for attack on Sushil Modi's carcade
Hajipur/Patna: Six suspected RJD supporters were arrested in connection with the attack on Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi's carcade in Vaishali district last night. The six are among the nine accused named in the FIR registered in connection with the attack, Vaishali Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar told PTI. The FIR, also lodged against 100 unnamed persons, was based on the statement of a sub-inspector of Raja Pakar police station, the SP said.
PIL in Delhi HC to remove online links of Blue Whale Challenge
New Delhi: A PIL was today moved in Delhi High Court seeking directions to internet companies like Google, Facebook and Yahoo to take down the links of 'Blue Whale', a challenge-based suicide game that has been allegedly linked to deaths of several children worldwide. The petition was mentioned before a bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Hari Shanker, which listed it for hearing tomorrow.
