SC to hear plea against stay on lookout notice against Karti
New Delhi:The Supreme Court today agreed to hear the Centre's plea against Madras High Court order staying its lookout notice against Karti Chidambaram, son of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, and others in an alleged corruption case filed by the CBI. A bench of Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice D Y Chandrachud said it will hear the plea today itself after it finishes hearing the listed matters.

Hizb commander Yatoo killed
Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen operational commander Yasin Yatoo, alias Mehmood Ghaznavi, was among three militants killed in an 18-hour-long gunfight in south Kashmir’s Shopian district that ended on Sunday. Two soldiers of Army’s counter insurgency unit were also killed and three others were injured in the gunfight.
Educational institutes closed in Kashmir after death of 2 protesters
Srinagar: Educational institutes remained closed in the Kashmir Valley on Monday following the death of two civilian protesters the previous day, authorities said. All examinations scheduled for Monday have also been postponed.
