WATCH: Passenger hits IndiGo pilot over flight delay due to weather

Indigo Flight Fight Between Passenger and Pilot News Today: Amid dense fog over the northern states, several flights grounded for hours across North India on Sunday. However, air rage escalated on an IndiGo flight, from Delhi to Goa, when a male passenger attacked a pilot, who was announcing the flight status in the passenger cabin. The pilot was attacked at around 1 pm on flight 6E-2175, scheduled to depart at 7:40 am but eventually left at 6 pm.

Delhi and parts of North India have been witnessing poor weather that led to the situation of thousands of passengers being stranded at airports on Sunday.

A video is making rounds on social media in which an IndiGo pilot was announcing the passenger cabin. During this, a passenger, in a yellow hoodie, who was seated in 28F, ran up the aisle and attacked the pilot. While the pilot retreated towards the cockpit, a female flight attendant pushed the unruly passenger away and warned him against assaulting the crew.

The passenger can be heard saying, "Chalana hai to chala, nahi to mat chala, khol de (If you want to operate the flight, do so; otherwise, don't and open the aircraft door)"

Similarly, another video clip shows the unruly passenger and a female co-passenger being deplaned by the CISF personnel. Later, the unruly passenger was seen apologizing to a personnel member.
