Several regions reported zero violations, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Sikkim. The minister confirmed that all penalized athletes face strict suspensions from competitive sports under the existing national anti doping regulations.

Historical data provided in parliament indicated fluctuating annual trends across the country. Total recorded violations stood at two hundred thirteen in twenty twenty three, increased to two hundred sixty in twenty twenty four, and declined to one hundred thirty one last year.

To combat substance abuse in athletics, the central government has ramped up preventive initiatives. Authorities are actively conducting nationwide awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and specialized seminars to inform athletes about prohibited substances and rigorous testing protocols.
