Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp confirmed the casualty figures, stating that the attack occurred while people were attending the funeral of a Palestinian who had been killed in an earlier Israeli strike on Friday. Israel and Hamas had reached a ceasefire agreement in October aimed at ending the two-year conflict. While large-scale fighting has decreased, violence has not completely stopped. According to Gaza's Health Ministry, more than 1,123 people have died since the ceasefire took effect.
