US Central Command confirms daytime strikes mark a shift from recent nighttime attack pattern
As part of an escalating pace of attacks, the US military announced on Wednesday that it has started a fresh wave of airstrikes against Iran during the day. The US military's Central Command acknowledged the start of the strikes in an online statement.
The US has exclusively struck Iran at night in recent days. According to Central Command, "the strikes are intended to further degrade military capabilities Iranian forces have used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz."The strikes coincide with the collapse of an interim agreement between the US and Iran.
