At least seven people were killed after a pickup truck carrying around 30 passengers rammed into a stationary container on NH-2 in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, leaving 22 others injured on Friday afternoon. Several of the passengers have sustained critical injuries.
DSP Santosh Kumar Singh, speaking to news agency ANI, said, “The devotees belonged to Fatehpur. The family was returning from Prayagraj in a pickup truck carrying nearly 30 people when it met with an accident on the national highway.”
The DSP added that the injured have been admitted to hospitals in Sirathu and Manjhanpur, while those in critical condition are being shifted to Prayagraj for further treatment.
