Farmers will be harmed by the trade agreement between India and America

It is extremely shameful that students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi over the NEET paper leak and to safeguard their future were beaten up. The Central Government should immediately accept the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to address the growing anger among students and youth day by day. Also, regarding what has been happening at Panjab University a few days ago — the illegitimate interference by the RSS there, spoiling the environment of the university — for that too, we went and met with our youth there a few days ago. All those Sikh youth in particular are facing great discrimination in Punjab. It's a matter of great surprise. So we will fully support those students as well, so that in the times to come, the university's environment is not allowed to be spoiled. There is strong resentment among the country's farmers regarding the upcoming trade deal between India and the United States. Our demand is that agricultural and dairy products be kept completely out of this deal so that no injustice is done to our farmers and livestock keepers.

It is highly condemnable that instead of accepting the rightful demands of MGNREGA workers, the Punjab Government is removing them from their jobs. This MGNREGA scheme is on the verge of being shut down in a way, due to the changes made in it by the Central Government. Because of this, workers today have lost their employment — those who were earning their livelihood through hard labor — and instead, lathi charges were carried out on them wherever protests were taking place. This happened in Khanna and in several other places. So the Punjab Government is also responsible for this. Therefore, whether it is injustice being done to farmers today, to students, to our workers, or to MGNREGA workers — their voices should be heard. Their demands should be accepted, not met with beatings. Otherwise, in the times to come, whether it is the Central Government or the State Government, all of them will have to face the consequences. We stand firmly with the students, we stand with the farmers, and we stand with the MGNREGA workers.
