Sharing the data of the ongoing Yudh Nashean Virudh campaign, Baltej Pannu stated, "Punjab Police has shown promptness by registering a total of 41,850 FIRs so far. Acting on these cases, around 60,000 drug traffickers have been arrested and sent behind bars."

Highlighting the impact of the campaign, he continued, "The recovery figures by the police indicate how deeply the campaign is working. So far, the police has seized 2,569 kg of heroin, 0.37 kg of smack, 748 kg of opium, 35,058 kg of poppy husk, 898 kg of cannabis, and 4,599 kg of cocaine, dismantling large drug networks."

Appreciating public participation, Baltej Pannu added, "The Village Defence Committees (VDCs)  formed in villages are receiving full support from the people. The highest number of inputs are being received by the police through the specially developed mobile app for this campaign, which has a success rate of more than 80 percent."
