Punjab’s Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Dr. Baljit Kaur, has officially announced the launch of the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste students for the 2026-27 academic session. This initiative, accessible through the National Scholarship Portal, aims to provide vital financial support to students pursuing higher education across the state.

The government remains deeply committed to ensuring that no deserving student is forced to abandon their educational aspirations due to financial hardship. Applications for the scholarship have been officially open on the portal since July 1. Dr. Kaur urged all eligible Scheduled Caste students to take proactive steps and submit their applications well before the approaching deadlines to secure their financial assistance. Educational institutions are required to complete the verification process at the institute level by November 30. Following this, the final verification by district, state, and ministry nodal officers must be finalized by December 15.
