According to the official schedule released by the department, students have until November 15 to submit their completed applications.

Punjab’s Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Dr. Baljit Kaur, has officially announced the launch of the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste students for the 2026-27 academic session. This initiative, accessible through the National Scholarship Portal, aims to provide vital financial support to students pursuing higher education across the state.


The government remains deeply committed to ensuring that no deserving student is forced to abandon their educational aspirations due to financial hardship. Dr. Kaur emphasized that this scholarship program serves as a cornerstone of the state’s dedication to promoting social justice and providing equitable educational opportunities for Scheduled Caste communities, ultimately empowering the youth of Punjab.

Applications for the scholarship have been officially open on the portal since July 1. Dr. Kaur urged all eligible Scheduled Caste students to take proactive steps and submit their applications well before the approaching deadlines to secure their financial assistance. This timely action is essential for students to continue their academic journeys without any economic disruption.


According to the official schedule released by the department, students have until November 15 to submit their completed applications. If there are any discrepancies or errors found in the submitted forms, candidates will have until November 30 to rectify these issues.


Educational institutions are required to complete the verification process at the institute level by November 30. Following this, the final verification by district, state, and ministry nodal officers must be finalized by December 15. Students are encouraged to keep track of these milestones to ensure their applications are processed successfully.
